I Need An Answer

Where did it go? Why couldn’t it last? How could it all crumble, so incredibly fast? Bitter yet satisfied With a turmoil of haste Such a vacant relationship Such a terrible waste I’m crying on the inside Alone and left to dwell In this life of misery An empty outer shell You infested my mind Manipulated my thoughts The love we once shared Never could be bought I don’t know the answer To my questions of spite The only retort I have Is to maintain this futile fight © Stacy Lynn Stiles
