I miss
Third place
Contest by Ink Empress.
Dear Dear granddaughter, sweet Arianna
Staying too far in Pennsylvania.
Me in India, always missing you.
Now your visit favours me for days few.
At most ten or twelve days every year
Now I get the chance to meet you : My Dear !
Rest of the year FaceTime interaction !
No way ! That's my only satisfaction.
Once every year I visited your place.
It's over ! My ache : I have to suppress.
Life is like that, though too hard to accept.
In old age, no consolation is left.
Eagerly waiting for coming X'mas.
Celebration sure to turn marvellous.
Years back I stayed with you, now far apart..
But my child, you have fully won my heart.
Me, now detached from all earthly matters.
Also in last phase it hardly matters.
But I can’t come out from your attraction.
I can't bear pain of your separation.
You are my most precious gift and best bliss.
Staying away, every moment I miss.
I am aware, there’s no alternative.
Face Time Meet gives me energy to live.
Till writing book of life to reach last page.
Deprived of your company in old-age
Just to admit uttering my last word:
"My child ! I love you most in the entire world.."
