I loved you from a distance, knowing that one day I would have to let you go
I loved you from a distance, knowing that one day I would have to let you go
I loved you from a distance, knowing that one day I would have to let you go,
and now that day is near, and I sit with the weight of all these thoughts,
wondering why I opened my heart, knowing you were never mine,
why I let you enter my world when I always knew you'd leave,
I wish you knew how much I cared, how deeply I loved with every moment,
how far I would have gone just to make you stay, to keep you in my life,
but I'm afraid, afraid that in every world, in every story, your love will not be mine,
so I remain silent, hiding my heart behind a calm and fragile smile,
loving you in silence until silence is all that's left, an echo of lost love,
a love that dances like a shadow on the walls of memories as I close my eyes and dream,
for in this infinite silence lies longing and hope, and all the unspoken words,
a place where my love lives, even if only in the shadows of my thoughts,
and in this encompassing quiet, I find my peace, even if just for a moment,
where my love for you remains, like a star shining in the eternal night sky.
