I Love You
I Love You.
I write these words just for you,
Although you may never see them;
And even if you happen to,
You may not really believe them.
You may wonder: Are they meant for me?
Be you someone I know or a stranger be;
This rhyme will just keep you guessing.
But this you should know,
What I feel is real
And I consider it a wonderful blessing.
Do I speak of a passionate love?
Or love that is paternal?
Do I refer to a passing fancy?
Or feelings that are eternal?
That is for you, the reader, to choose,
And interpret as you will;
But I mean the words with all my heart
And sharing them gives me a thrill.
