I Love Dragons Me

I LOVE DRAGONS ME I love Dragons me, especially if they have charm Brush their teeth, don't smoke, or wish me harm Fight my battles and send these demons packing And on a day out, join me when I'm backpacking We would travel near and far, maybe to the coast Maybe go to some local pub, for a nice beef roast Check out the circus, Dragon sure would like that Even some candy floss, for our long journey back I know he can appear, a bit off-putting on a meet But he's ok, just be sure to smile when you greet If he likes you, he will carry your shopping home Whilst on the way, might recite his favorite poem On bonfire night, Dragon always gets a shout out And Dragon remains, with the bonfire throughout He, always gets the job, to start the great bonfire No-one can match him, besides it's his one desire And this is really one job Dragon, is hot-wired for With a flame, here and there, he knows the score Then puffs out his cheeks, using them as bellows Also; if you like, he will toast your marshmallows He loves all the fireworks and give the kids a ride Then they can all see, the fireworks up in the sky Later on Dragon pokes the embers with his claws And out come the foiled baked potatoes he draws Then it is a quick rip, with his dragon's talon claw With such skill Dragon gets the people's applause A big blob of butter, with some cheese on the top And gives them all a grilling; he sure does the lot Kids tired and weary he gives them all a lift home He is the best dragon; our village has ever known Once home Dragon, and I, retire to our own beds With the both of us, soon asleep in the land of Z's I love Dragon, he really is my one and only friend Want a friend; then a dragon I would recommend Indiana Shaw . . . "For (Wolfy) Gershon, who should have been a fox to match the hair" . . . ; )

Nothing dragging in this poem, Diane. Quite a frisky romp right from the get-go. Really delightful! Thanks, Gershon
