I Lost, Loving You
I lost,
More than anyone,
I could ever imagine,
Loving you.
That was not anything,
That I actually,
Wanted to do.
I lost,
Money, power, and respect;
All that we want,
And need in life.
I lost,
A chance of being,
A rich, respectful, and powerful;
Man's wife.
I lost,
A job,
That I loved to do,
And to go to.
This is not all,
That I lost,
Loving you.
I lost,
Friends, family, and support,
Of my community.
I lost,
The ability to love you,
In spite of your faults,
I lost trust of all men.
I lost,
An abundance,
Loving you.
And now that,
I don't anymore.
I ,to this day,
Secretly win.
One day,
Publicly,
I will say.
That I won,
Back all,
That I had lost,
Because until
This day,
You still have not,
Paid the ultimate cost,
To be my lover,
Or my boss.
