I Like You Need Love
I like you need love—soft hands and eyes,
A voice that hushes the ache of night,
The ghost of laughter under sighs,
And hope that flickers into light.
Empty skies are my sheltering dome,
Where no stars burn, but silence clings;
I wander far but never home—
The wind is full of my broken dreams.
Silver moon, you know my name,
You’ve watched me cry where no one sees;
Your light is cold but free from shame,
It falls like grace on trembling seas.
Deep seas keep what I cannot say,
Their hush is heavy, their pull is slow,
They sing my sorrow far away—
But I still feel the undertow.
There are holes in my soul like flame-kissed lace,
And love is the light that fills this space.
