I Know My Place - Contest
My position in life
Seems to be in a queue,
Never quite getting to the front,
Wondering what I should do
Should I change my name to "nearly",
That's got a cheerful zing.
The one I would love dearly
is the one that goes with a "ring"
That queue is long and painful
walked it once before.
Nearly at the front, then
he was called to God's door.
Now I wait and wonder
If next time it will go right
Trouble is in frustration
I have a verbal fight
Think I have worked it out now
Some duct tape to shut me up
Smile sweetly and nod my head
Do you think that will be enough?
