I Had the Best Life
I had the best life
As lazy or as busy as I wanted
As pink or red as I wanted it
A cinnamon hot life
Yet refreshingly cool
With certain appreciative skies
A protected life
Surrounded by many who
Felt special about me
Revealing my confetti self
When I felt
Nurtured
Hiding her deeply and
Carefully among dainty
White violets
Under sturdy
Walnuts and oaks
When things scared me
I had the best life
