I Followed You Into This Life To Find You

I reincarnated a few years after you,
Because I needed more time to go through
Learning how beliefs I was taught won't do.
I learned how to be more like you too.

I reincarnated to remind you what we are,
For our eternal love is brighter than any star,
And what we have is why I feel we'll go far.
I learned how to truly love and never scar. 

I reincarnated into a life full of signs of you,
Signs preluding sacred love that was due,
Signs pointing to a religion that is most true.
I learned how I am meant to be a Hindu.

I reincarnated with my natural gift of poetry,
My poems, even before you, are a prophecy
Of how we have always been meant to be.
I learned it is you who will forever love me.
