I feel your love reaching out to my soul,
fueling flames of passion in my heart.
I didn't dare dream of ever feeling whole,
and yet, I fell in love right from the start.
Though tears may fall, our hearts won't drift apart,
for two becomes one when love's in control.
Whenever we're together, for my part,
I feel your love reaching out to my soul,
Even on days that seemed as dark as coal,
love brought us closer together, sweetheart.
I'll never forget the first kiss you stole,
fueling flames of passion in my heart.
You offered all that love you could impart;
you were no actor with a minor role.
Before hope gave my spirit a jumpstart,
I didn't dare dream of ever feeling whole.
I felt caught up in life's rigamarole,
searching for my elusive counterpart.
Once, love felt like an impossible goal,
and yet, I fell in love right from the start.
Safe within your arms, all my doubts depart,
you like country; I prefer rock-and-roll.
I drink beer; you appreciate fine art,
but whenever we're on a moonlight stroll,
I feel your love.
