I Dreamt of You Last Night
I dreamt of you last night
Your face
Full of expressions
Full of kindness
But
I sensed a subtle hint of sadness
Why was that?
I dreamt of you last night
Your right arm
You walked me somewhere
Somewhere down the street
And then you
Your image faded away
Why was that?
Angel
I'm going to bed tonight
With millions hopes
The hopes I have picked one by one
Since the last dream
To see that face
To reach that very arm
And
To raise the dying question
Why
Was
That?
