I Dream Poetry

I dream poetry when semi awake Subconscious allowed to overtake Thoughts surreal leap and land Bizarre appearance of being planned The muse it moves fast and steady Creating poetry ripe and ready Let the mind wander, meander, drift Unconsciously through ideas I sift Stray into concepts outside what's known Fascinating journey of introspect alone Honing in on some kind of truth Intangible, abstract, without proof The resting mind often travels Less wound up as it all unravels Twists and turns, forwards and back in time Occasionally hooking it on rhyme Should conscious mind lift up the pen My socks are bored off once again It's best to ride with dreamlike state See what's discovered, maybe reveal fate I walk in a dream, see poems everywhere See beauty, connections, feel aware Form surreal worlds, record how I feel Transform the abstract into something real
