I Cannot Wait Until Tomorrow

I cannot wait to wake up; can barely go to sleep. Tomorrow will be a day of adventure; my heart sings. I get to see my friends, and it has been a long time. We’re going to do crazy, zany, marvelous things. In person, not on skype or on Zoom. One by one they begin backing out, afraid of the pandemic. I call the last person and say “We’re still on, right?” She is all in; thank goodness. We wear our masks, but that’s it. The rest of the day is normal. We know we are taking a risk. But sometimes a risk is worth it; this is one of those times. If I die tomorrow, at least I had today!

I love that way of thinking, Caren. "At least I had today!" should be on stenciled on a Tee-Shirt. They'd sell like hotcakes!

I agree. Don't put off what you can do today, tomorrow might not come. Last year we wore masks in Michigan on vacation. This year we didn't wear masks in Florida or South Carolina! crazy huh?

I am related to a health person who is in the know. Covid has increased 500 percent in two weeks where I live.
