I Cannot Be Where You Have Been
To the best of my limited ability,
I chose to show some well understood humility
In that I only know my own heart and soul
Being compassionate is my most avid goal.
I cannot get inside another’s thoughts or mind.
I want to help, uplift and relieve all mankind.
But I can simply not be where you have been.
Even if I was a close relative, your closest kin.
I do not fool myself into believing I know any better.
Things are done daily that I do not adhere to a letter.
The more I learn, the farther in my mind I travel and go,
The more I see and observe, I am convinced that the less I know.
