I Can Still Want To
I know that I can’t l hold your hand so tight
Just the way I used to do
And I can’t kiss away your tears at night
But I can still want to
No, I can’t watch you as you sleep, my love
When the day is through
And I can’t take you to the stars above
But I can still want to
When the lights are low
I can almost know
The touch of your lips on mine
I think you should know
Honey, even though
My thoughts are way out of line
Now I can’t call you everyday at ten
And then at twelve and one and two
Just to tell you of my love, again
But I can still want to
I know that I can’t say, you’re mine, my love
