I Came For Only You

I have traveled far to comfort you
From a far and distant star--
And you need not tell your thoughts to me
For I know just what they are.

And should I ever disappear,
For a day, or even two--
Remember I am always near,
And have come for only you.

Gina, HI! So, a fellow romantic...how cool :) feel free to drop by, cuz if I'm not writing about nature, then I'm writing about love. You wouldn't live near Los Angles, by any chance. Just as well. If you're as romantic as I am, the sparks would fly...Ah, to be in love. Thanks for the visit darlin'...xoxo...mel

Glad you liked it, Arthur. I'm amazed at how many people read your poems. They're excellent, but how long did it take you to generate such a following? It would be cool to have so many people read my writes. Good on ya, my friend...mel

I don't think I'm on too many fave lists, so I thank you for considering me. You give me inspiration to pick up the pen and write again. There are plenty of romantic poems here, should you ever want one. Blessings, my good friend...mel

But no goosebumps? lol Seems I'm drawn towards two themes these days: love and nature, and sometimes they entwine as two roses in a garden of dawn and dew. See, I can't even speak without being poetic...HELP! Thank you for the read and comment, Karen. It's appreciated. xxx...Mel

This is exquisite, Mel. I've read through it more than once. It is truly a beauty. Whoever was your muse on this one, must be singing right now.

Connie, How are you? Thank you for reading this, for liking it, and for kindly commenting. Stardust...luv the word, and the song. Have you heard it? Nat King Cole or Willie nelson--awesome tune. Peace and hugs my dear ~M
