I Belong To You
It starts out hot in tepid thought
feelings thrown for there is want
two souls conjoined in time and space
here to lift, to guide, and trace
what is meant and what shall be
a heart of gold for all to see
on a whim, a plane not seen
a tear turned out where one was mean
time stands still, as patience runs
you see, our love has just begun
a place, a time, for everything
for things anew and what you bring
a past not held out in contempt
our candles burn as midnight tempts
passions pull into me you thrust
a life that's built on utter trust
