Notes About The Poem

My lif lately seems my own prsonal soap opera.

First my appendex ruptured then my husband had a terrible accident dand sustaind brain damage and now lives in a care facility because he can't be left alone and then I gort hit by a car while walking across the street.. I'm back at work now but am on pain pills and pills to combat vertigo. Someone very powerful must be trying to kill me but God won't let him.

I Been Sick Again

It seems I've been sick again.
Got hit by a car last Jun.
Got no broken bones,
Was told to go home,
And sign up for physio soon.

Massive muscle damage diagnosed.
Pain pills, heat treatments, massage.
Special excercises needed,
My headaches are treated,
The treatments seem one big collage.

These treatments don't come cheap,
And each time I go I must pay.
Thank The Lord fir insurance,
To give me the assurance,
I need to get by day by day.

I saw a lawyer about it.
He said, NO PROB, KEEP IN TOUCH."
He's now a bill I must pay.
I'm hemorrhaging money each day.
This helps later but now not so much.

So bear with me my friends,
I been sick.
I'm sorry I've been so sporadic.
You all much think me nomadic.
I'm here and then gone and here and then gone,
You must think that I don't care a lick.

Thank God, you have survived all these. God will give you strength to bear your problem and your husband's problem and find for you some funds to pay the hospital bills. Even vertigo can be so debilitating. I know what it is. Prayers for you dear one. Keep up your spirits !

Bj Legros Kelley November 21, 2023 at 3:13 PM I think we all know that things have been tough for you sweet Judy. My daughter was attacked by a dog, and in the hospital (happened a long time ago). The insurance company required a lawsuit, or they wouldn't pay, they wanted their money back. The attorney took a lot of the settlement, but happily the hospital bills were paid. I'm glad God's kept you alive through it all <3 I am remembering to pray for you. I too wish I could be on here more often. It makes me feel bad to be sporadic. I hope you get well soon. Now i know. as for myself, my computer died and I had to get another computer and mouse pad. then i discovered iI needed winter boots. Then my cat has a problem scratching her fur.
