I Am the Blues Man
I am the blues man, I sing
Sad joy, and even of broken shoes
Lost it all when I lost my heart
In the second I said the word: sweetheart
Reason took my mind and tore it apart
I won't grimace, I won't write farewell in tears
I'll just let you believe things are what appears
You tap my beat, but you don't know me
My guitar got her arms around me
I am the blues the man singing the blues
Pain is what I am, each time I love I lose
It is the same old story, same history
Always strumming hard on my humanity.
