I Am Not a Star

I am  not a star 

I  do not shine

I'm but a stone

with a pastel glow.

Find  me 

in your empty universe...

Don't seek for diamonds

I wear no glitter.

Don't seek for gold

I do not shimmer.

I am not radiant

nor am I bright

I'm just a pale shade

of warming light

which spreads

sweet comfort

like scented jasmines

falling so softly

into your night.

You my sweet friend are a star and your poetic talent shines brightly in every piece you post on here, this one is no exception. Absolutely beautiful Charmaine and this one really warms the heart. Maybe we don't need a bright glaring blinding light because a soft comforting and pale glow feels so much better when it finds our eyes. So lovely.
