I Am Meth

I am Meth, I have no soul, I will devour your body, and make you so old. I will eat holes in your brain, and make your body twitch, I'm worse than Poison Ivey, I am the devils itch. I will take your family, I'll wreck their lives, as they try to save you, I'll teach you to lie. Working for a living, I'll take that too, when you use me, nothing else matters to you. Broke, and alone, and out on the street, you don't have a chance, with a friend like me. My warning is clear, just look around, I'm everywhere, in every home town. Don't blame your friends, they are just like you, addicted to me, acting like fools. I don't like your loved ones, some get in my way, especially the ones, that won't let me stay. You know me, and I know you, I will take your life, that is what I do.

Christy, this is a poignant piece. It personifies meth, giving it an identifyable life force that tends to overpower those unsuspecting and often times vulberable. Very well written. My blessings to you my friend. Michael

That one time trying something because someone says it won't hurt you it will make you feel good, sometimes that is one time too many. Christy I have zero tolerance for the dealers they are the ones that should pay. they are the carriers of this highly contagious disease. I hope your son is doing alright, I know it is hard and our prayers are with you guys, Ron
