Listen to poem:
If I am not the mind and I am not the body then who and what am I
and if I am as subtle as a stick of incense in a void of air then why
when you touch me I can feel it and why when you smile, I sigh
If I am not the finite mind and I am not the ever changing body mass
then what invisible non material controls me like pliable sea grass
if I breathe and the breath disappears in me will I oxidate like brass
Why am I me rather than someone else, where does my identity lie
is this a vehicle that is stationed as an observer or an actor in decry
and if I am not the brain of me and I am not the bulk then when I die
What part of me survives and wanders through the parting veils of time
if I'm more then mere cerebrum or a figure can I still mirror the Divine
why is the soul transparent and why did God create it thin as twine
Body mind and spirit stock, if we unlock the truth inside we will be free
can I ignore one part of it and then expect to find the wholesome me
if I am not the element of my thoughts nor the solid object that I see
Then I am neither this nor that but all of it and more, like a lion I can roar
I am body, mind, intellect and soul, a child of God and so much more
I love all the parts of me that make me whole, I am human to the core.
