I Am the Caterpillar of the World

I am caterpillar of the world fat, jittery, itchy and feared I have eaten all green leaves crops, grass, foliage I chew Wasteland weeps behind me people curse wherever I go but they have no business interfering with my dining gardens Things they claim are theirs the rain my loyal servant tells me it is still held up beyond the skies This makes me extra happy let the deaf world shudder Let the caterpillar be great whether hated or loved I am
