I Am

I am a strong young lady who still sees I wonder when I can't see anymore I see joy around me I want to have joy as well I am a strong young lady who still sees I pretend that it doesn't hurt but it really does I feel my heart breaking into itty bitty pieces I touch the broken pieces of my heart I worry that my heart will never heal and be whole again I cry when I feel the pain knowing that it's not going anywhere I am a strong young lady who still sees I understand that I will see disappointment because that's life I say "why won't it go away?" I dream that the world will get better I try to act like don't care but, deep down inside I really do I hope that things will change someday I am a strong young lady who still sees
