I Am

God’s child, loved unconditionally
Filled with words, poetic expressions
Honest and loyal, hoping to give my best
Wild and free, a bird lives inside of me

Emotional and caring, willing to take a chance
Friendly toward others, yearning to share
Inquisitive, welcoming every lesson I learn
Sensitive to other’s feelings, raw and real

Dreaming of moments in the sand and sun
Whispering poems to the heart of my beloved
Anxious for nothing, trusting God to lead me on
Without fear of tomorrow, knowing love will come

Free to live my life built on choices found in grace
Welcoming the sense that love is all around me
Reassuring others that I live to give all that I have
Abandoning doubt and holding onto the gift of faith

The woman who believes in second chances 
Happily giving my heart to one who God has given me
Seeing joy explode inside every time I look into his eyes
And knowing God blesses me each time I smile inside

I AM… God’s child, beloved and blessed
