I love you as certain dark things are to be loved, in secret, between the shadow and the soul.” —Pablo Neruda
I have a dream,
To escape the grip of solitude's extreme,
Soaring high on wings of joy, it seems,
In my mind, this dream forever gleams,
A beautiful mirage in life's vast scheme.
I have a dream,
A love so profound, like a flowing stream,
A partner's shadow, a cherished team,
In my heart, our love shall beam,
A soul intertwined, a mutual dream.
I have a dream,
To find a love that's more than it may seem,
Through trials and pains, a love supreme,
Hand in hand, a world we'll redeem,
Venturing into the unknown, like a vivid dream.
At times, reality merges with my dream's regime,
Hope shines bright, like a lighthouse's beam,
Yet, in the stormy sea of emotions, I deem,
Hope may fade, like a distant dream,
But as a sailor, I'll hold to hope's redeem.
A castaway on a lonely shore, it may seem,
Dreams my only refuge, my heart's bloodstream,
I'll keep dreaming on, like a timeless theme,
For if dreams fade, like a lost sunbeam,
I'll wither away, like a sea shell in the ocean's gleam.
