Hydrangea

Multiplier and large blooms Colors varied and depend on the soil ph Hardy plants are hard to kill Blooms all spring and summer Until frost, you delight me No need to fret for you You never displease me Your plant grows and thickens Each year, you grow more beautiful My delight is in your blossoms. You stand for rebirth and eternal life. For Linda Marie's Contest-Flowers Thanks for the inspiration!!

My very favorite bush ... I have a red one that always begins with a lavender hued flower that by Christmas time has turned to a very deep red. Wonderful plant that I cut way back and it returns all green in the spring. Amazing plant and this is beautiful writing, Doris!! My but you've been busy in April !! So many writes!!

They may be "hard to kill," but I managed to do it. Yes, mine died. And you're right about the ph affecting the color. Saw some hydrangea in San Francisco that were glorious! I'm jealous of your green thumb, but very happy to offer congratulations on your win, Doris. Love, Carolyn

Best of luck in the contest...Nicely written Free verse in full bloom! I remember the huge Hydrangeas of England, what a beautiful sight! My art work ist mistly black and white (Pencil, ink and lino-cuts) but also watercolours and couloured pencils or ink. No oil paintings yet but I would prefer acrylic colours. Have a good time and thanks for your comments...Gert
