Human Emotions

I long to hold it in my hand that I may watch it fly away. What is here with us tomorrow is often gone from us today.
Confused feelings occur leading on even more. Abandoned dreams implore for another encore. Willing time to restore desire new as before proves a bruising chore. Alas, hearts do turn sore. Growing with our feelings we also weave a course; full of scary dealings, we forget we have choice. Running and then walking, seeking a secure pace, emotions are ruler ... we are the human race. 11-12-2015

Loved the first stanza. With just that one, it's already a done deal. However, the added stanzas did manage to expand the piece to great dancing lines. A beauty.

Human emotion. . . The bottom line for most poets, what we write about or is the underlying thought for plot or message. You handled syllable count and rhyme scheme here expertly. Adjectives and adverbs are simple and direct. This helps to create a very pointed poem. GOOD WRITE!

People in France don't say 'dang', do they? Sounds so like Texas or southern US states. I'd love to hear 'dang' with your accent, I bet it sounds precious - yes, precious. Thank you, Nette, for a great comment ... CayCay

Precious sentiments CayCay. I think you are right, emotions sometimes over rule the rational thinking of the human race,

Yes, because emotions include those insecure feelings that strive for greed and power or settle for any love rather than the right love, but, HE knows He made us emotionally vulnerable - He knows! Thank you for reading, Mark - so you did get up from the couch? ... CayCay
