How to Tame a Tornado: How to Halt a Hurricane

The possibilities are endless
With every new scientific discovery.
There is inspiration to invent devices
That improve quality of life
And save lives in the process.

Spin with the wave and slow it down
With drones and electromagnetism.
Entropy and vacuums.
Spin with the wave, then slow it down
With science and ingenuity.

Catch the wind and spin, hook in
The eye of the storm is calm
Harness the power of the gods
Right there in our palms

Think of the all the lives you'll save
All the kids that won't meet Oz
If only we could stop 
Take time to ponder the devastating
Disastrous whirlwinds of the gods

Drop a probe down the eye
Let it spin, let it fly
Revolutionize the times
With the greatest challenge of all
Saving lives, having fun with everything resolved.

Unfortunately, there is a negative side to it. Man should use technological devices to harness power and energy and prevent even natural calamities. A great poem on the enormous possibilities of science and technology. Benjamin Bartley March 19, 2025 at 4:55 PM Thanks Valsa for the insight as well. All is good and fun until someone loses an eye. Many catch 22s with Nature and Man's technological advances. Certainly, nothing is stopping "us" from trying.

I Am Anaya March 18, 2025 at 2:46 PM Technology is miraculous, it saves lives! With science and ingenuity and this is why we need to stand up for science, much-needed of late. Defunding will shatter our resources and means that lead to cancer curing discoveries. Great imagery in third stanza and the posted image above is fab!
