How To Forget
How to Forget
The school of time preaches the art of remembering
But souls I’ve crossed crave the art of forgetting
And though they say time fades memories
‘Tis not an absolute true
For time reinforces, remembers ever so much more
For that which you own, not time nor fate can rob it
No event can change it, no circumstance deny it
But it is that which fate denied that time remembers most
It is what carves some souls, and sheds blood once again
But that which was taken was not yours from the beginning
It was a momentary possession,
Be it love, sorrow or joy
Time does allow partial healing
Not by forgetting, but by replacing
‘Tis the long neglected secret to forget
