How Much of Life

How much of life do we catch
as we walk briskly past windows
     behind each a drama unfolding

How much of life do we miss
as we speed past tenements teeming
with primal emotions, like downed power lines
       alive with passion and angst

How much of life can we know as
       as we fly across continents
spanning time zones of populations divers
running the gamut from AI-creators and
manipulators to prep cooks, no-counts and killers

How much of life would have enriched us if attention were paid
to the windows on the journeys that you and I've made

Wow Gershon, I'm late to the party by a long ways! Congratulations on your POTD! I am back, healing up after a crazy month of August and now trying to navigate around here...someone moved all the furniture in this big house! I guess I need to relearn everything, it took me quite a while just to get this far! Anyway, I love your poem, it certainly deserved the POTD! And a fave for me!! :)

Hello Gershon, Congrats on POTD! I really have to reflect on the series of questions that make me feel the weight of all those missed moments, all that life happening just outside our awareness as we rush through our days. Blessings, Gershon, Daniel

So much of life we miss, indeed. Because of reality. With technology. Health issues. The chaos happening in our world. When we're able to, we need to embrace the beauty that surrounds us. Congratulations Gershon, on Poem of the Day. My best to you. Hugs, Brandy

Nice poem, interesting that those of us that can be comfortable enough to cozy up in this room with out a worry in the world while the other half of America fights against racism, hatred and being taken off off of the streets by masked thugs, thanks again for the write !

Stay away from those windows, lest you be arrested, lol. Congratulations on POTD GW! AI is big and we are small in its world of chaos. Not an ai-er I do put different words out there as I tire of words used over and over again! Love the alliteration "tenements teeming" Enjoy your day! August blessings
