How God Sleeps At Night

[To "answer" the poetic line, "how do you [referring to God] sleep at night?" used by an undisclosed poet...] I first awaken the tambourines Pour lemonade through my eyelids Then wonker downstairs to Daze upon my angels, free livestock-lovestock, Who choose to roam the open perimeter of Fencing patched with quilts and gaps I made a muddle over month after month... Wishing out our hallway lights I then Ascend to the bellhouse, Silencing our tambourines With quick and loving amazement.

Did not mean this "reactionary poem" as an attack...am deeply sorry if the poet who wrote the line felt criticized. I was inspired, without judgement, by the writing. And for that I'm thankful. Please forgive me.

First off I consider myself some sort of buddhist-catholic...and secondly God of course doesn't sleep...though at the same time, the idea of proposing what God does AT ALL is a bit preposterous. So asking how he sleeps opens up such an amazing door of absurdities and possibilities. Which puts you at play with your subject and, hopefully, opens up your writing.

Love the metaphors and humor but God never slumbers or sleeps he never grows weary. Jesus grew weary and he slept because of the human side of him. God is weeping over man that he made that has rejected him and runs hastily after sin. Your gifted keep writing. Sara
