How Far Up There Is Heaven
On a late cool light summer evening
having a pondering look up to the sky
quite struck by clouds so very white
a question crosses your mind why?
Your mind is asking how far is it?
how far to where? Heaven of course
as your eyes look eagerly way up there
wonder how can one reach such force
You can’t use a measuring tape
how many billion miles to there
it makes one wonder about it all
as surely makes it a place so rare
One must just stand back in awe
recognizing heaven is truly for real
no matter how much above the clouds
you can make contact as you kneel
(on a later summer evening a few weeks ago looking up into the sky and just thinking how far is heaven above these clouds?)
