Three fourteen am
out of control, no car brakes
kinda hard to breathe.
Remember that house?
Stairs, attics, grand pianos
Rather Escherish*
Six forty five now
Day awaits conformity
Until next time, dreams.

Written by Nancy Jones and her metronome at naptime on August 21.
* I count "Escherish" as three syllables. Escher, btw, is an artist. You can see one of his works if you click on "about this poem." You can see many of his works if you google him.
oh man, the AM in the first line perhaps would read better as ... dunno... but it means the time between midnight and noon.
