Hottest Day of the Year

Today's been so hot, skin's gone red
slept naked on top of the bed,
angry girl at the store
said “don't come back no more”
next time I'll cool off at home instead !

Thank you for my laugh and also a memory your poem brought to me: My Dad used to say, "It was so nice out, I thought I'd leave it out all day." I truly love this wee write and it's humorous punch! CayCay

I'm sure you're right, it's no big deal (I could do this all day. For 3 years, I worked as a construction site secretary (I was the token female) where I heard IT ALL.)

Ha ha . I needed a laugh after that last poem I wrote. Sometimes a clown hides tears of pain. A way of coping.

In my case, sometimes I just clown. Buffoonery- as an effective weapon as custard pies :). Thanks for dropping by, Holly. Viv x

Thanks, Tim, hotter than Miami and Jamaica here, apparently. We Brits are useless at everyday living in any temperature that melts butter. Regards, Viv
