How beautiful is the way you paint imagery in few syllables using such creative wordplay. Absolutely loved reading your work. Especially that last line

Thank you. Flower seeds will find their way to sprout in the spring. There's still hope.

Thank you very much. I plant zinnias for the hummingbirds, but the hummingbirds have flown south by the time the zinnias wilt.

Another good written Haiku. I love flowers, but the only ones I grow are the ones only the freeze will kill. I do not have a green thumb.

I don't have a green thumb either. That is why 'my plant' is the yucca which grows wild. I have written a poem called Yucca. Try a native plant.

You paint a pretty picture with the words of your Haiku, my friend. It's that time of year here in Texas. Smiles ~ Blessings Hilda, Bill

you've described exactly what happened to our zinnias last week...the season ends and they look as if they weep. Well said, enjoy your evening, Sara
