monarch butterfly life expectancy - Merrilee Mathias

I saw a butterfly in the sky from a memory a tear came to my eye through transcendence it had arrived it wasn’t in any way contrived our oneness with loved ones passed will always last the truth is no longer masked we are one the die is cast life is good when understood through the Light nothing can hide from it not even night I love the life we share in this incarnation I’m grateful to have been born in this nation hear my voice it’s freedom of voice that has peeked our imagination allowing the further development of this manifestation and yes in this time of our greatest despair they’re people everywhere that are courageous and still care the hating must stop we need a correction our hope lies in moving in a new direction

A deeply moving and spiritually resonant piece, Bill. I especially felt the emotion in “through transcendence it had arrived”—such a beautiful expression of connection beyond this realm. Your closing call for hope and change is powerful and timely. A poem full of light and heart.

Thank you, for the mindful comments, Rowena. I let it bother me too much, that people just can't seem to understand, the Love is easier than hate, and caring is easier than ignoring others. I just want to get along with everybody and get rid of these negatives feelings that attack me from time to time. (Rambling again) :-) Smiles ~ Blessings, Bill

Hey Bill, Your poem really touched me for there’s such a deep sense of peace and clarity in your words. O’ the gentle power of that butterfly moment, how memory and transcendence meet, bringing a tear that speaks to the eternal bond we share with those we’ve lost. For even in the darkest times, the Light reveals truth and connection that nothing can hide. Blessings, My Dear Bill, Daniel

Thanks Daniel, your words are encouraging. I think at times I just try too hard and want more good in our world than is reasonable. This is the devil's domain and not our home. The day will come when all will be set right again. Blessings my dear friend, Bill

I think sometime our just being content with who we are can share the message with others. We tend to try and show the love and hope so much we lose our on peace and joy. Pleasant days my friend, Bill

Bill, my great nephew, born with Spina Bifida wasn't expected to live a year, he beat the odds by a long shot, living to be twenty years old. Despite his suffering, he offered SO much kindness and love to all. He told his mom at twenty years old, he wanted no more heroics, he wanted to be free, healed, in heaven. The day he died I stood in the spot I was when I'd heard of his birth, crying; sad for us, happy for him, he was free. A Monarch flew up, zipped around my head playfully & landed on me! I don't believe he was the butterfly, but it was like a gift from him and God, I love your poem. A fave in so many ways.

Thanks for sharing that with me, BJ. I see Sara has already mentioned her dad's funeral and the monarch butterflies there. I do believe there is a connection being made between us and our lost loved ones. I think the communication is through symbols of things we shared with them or just things that were important to them. Blessings, my friend, Bill p.s. Thank you for the FAV! That makes me smile.

what an inspiring story! Thanks for sharing that. Had a similar butterfly experience after my dad died...he loved monarch butterflies having raised them for years.

We need a new direction as a planet, Joe. I know it seems trite, but this world is not going to make it much longer going the way it is today. Thanks for the comments, my friend. Bill
