Hope Blooms

Hope blooms
in April when
amethyst flowerets
appear like magic on my trees.
I hear chirping and catch a glimpse of birds
gathering small sticks for new nests.
Delight perfumes the night.
I thank God when
hope blooms!

"Delight perfumes the night" Great line! Reminds me of the smell of my grandmothers backyard back in the late 90's before her passing. so many different scents perfuming the air all at once. It was quite the sight and smell to behold. It was never the same after her death. Excellent Rictameter, one of my favorite forms. Good to see you again old friend, it's been a while!
