i hadn't heard before that Hitler was on drugs but that certainly explains a lot!

Jack, I think the use of drugs was later on in the war so we can't blame what he did on the use of drugs altogether. I have also heard that he had untreated syphilis which can destroy a person's brain so I am told. Sara

I have no words for this diabolical demon from the bowels of hell. I am surprised that you did; drug addict? That is all he needed on top of being an anti-Christ.

Caren, I agree that Hitler had many problems with a twisted belief system before he ever got on drugs. I had just seen a program on TV that showed they had documentation of his health records. I have heard that he also had syphilis which can make a person insane. That does not make right the movement he led and what was done. I am not trying to apologize for him. Sara

They sure do, Sara. Only a few drugs should be given for people who absolutely need them and there is no natural recourse!

Andrea, I agree with you about the wrong use of pain killers, diet pills turned into street drugs, etc. I think also that licensed doctors should always be very careful with the issuing out of these meds. We all take drugs into our bodies unless we have decided not to do so. Drugs like caffeine, the coke plant in the form of coke-a-cola, chocolate, etc. We just don't think we are consuming a chemical and also sugar is addictive. Sara

It’s strange sometimes, people don’t realise Hitler brought as much misery on his own people as he did on others, they paid a high price for following his orders blindly, anyone who can smile as they kill, are indeed sadistic at heart, I believe the drugs made him more paranoid, but he didn’t care less about human life at all, like his greatest adversary Stalin, cheers David

David, I agree that he could not have cared for human life since he did what he did. He had some bad attitudes toward people which did not help the situation. I do think the drug use made him worse and distorted his thinking but his attitudes had formed a long time before the drugs. I appreciate you dropping by and taking time to comment. Sara

Chilling. I saw pictures of him as a little boy. I wondered how such evil could ever grow in anyone. Drugs, that could explain part of it. I don't know, who can comprehend the shear wickedness of such intense evil. It seems like more than mental illness and even more than drugs, I mean, to have followers to do his deeds. he was like the devil in flesh, totally possessed of evil. The drugs he was on may have numbed his human heart and conscience enough to go with such darkness.

BJ, I think that Hitler possibly had a mental illness or brain disease. Somewhere I read he had bi-polar. I have also read in Christian literature that when one takes mind altering drugs it opens the door to evil(Satan). I think a number of things were in the making of Hitler and he was used by Satan. I don't think Hitler would be someone that we would want to know. His doctor kept journals and precise records about what he was given, etc. I think he did that to protect himself in case anything came up that could result in his demise from Hitler or his comrades if Hitler died. Anyway those records are still being kept in a safe place. Sara

Hi Sara, Hitler had his own issues before drugs. However, drugs warp the mind. It can make a person sane person insane under the influence of drugs. I believe drugs can lead a person down the wrong path. In my opinion, Hilter was already going down the wrong the path before drugs. Best wishes in the contest. Have a great weekend:-) Alexis

Alexis, Yes, Hitler was going down the wrong path before he started on the drugs. He was having health problems and this doctor gave him something that helped him and thereby that doctor became his personal physician and the drug use began. Hitler was a misguided soul who was responsible for so much death and destruction. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

That is all he needed. Drugs. He was already crazy and so met his doom. Great Suzette Prime. ~~

Victor, I saw part of a program on the TV the other night about him using drugs so it caught my attention. I looked it up on the internet and there are sources that said the same as the TV program. No wonder he was who he was. In the TV program it said he got where he could not sleep at night. I thought no wonder he could not sleep because of the drugs and his murderous ways. Sara
