His Twinkling Star
A man from the "Land of the Midnight Sun,"
Where the fjords rose and the sky danced around.
He set sail on a ship at sea,
While a twinkling star bore the name "Sandra Jean."
Although He had not much to give,
this little girl would soon be His.
He adopted her, and through it all
he was so very proud, of His twinkling star.
They came to live outside of town
A dairy farm they'd settled down,
where the grass was green and the air was clear,
and the bluebirds sang til the night was near.
She may not ever know her worth
or the story of her mother's birth,
But let it be known, she was a twinkling star,
to everyone both near and far.
Now twinkling stars are a mystery,
much like his precious Sandra Jean.
She may not know the story lines,
but will believe in all due time.
Whether here on Earth or Heaven's Gate,
she will learn what could have been her fate.
So for now she blesses the life she's lived,
and thankful for the sailor's gift.
