He woke up in silence, alone with the birds,
Peacefully alone on the shore,
He woke up every hour alone in his head,
Peacefully awaiting the storm,
And then it began, slowly at first,
His thoughts becoming loud, became real,
His thoughts became more than he could control,
They controlled how is body would feel,
His thoughts attacked like a screaming insane,
A symphonic and wild mental harm,
Then all of a sudden he would close both his eyes,
In his head became silent and calm,
Numb with confusion, numb to the war,
No thoughts he’d silently shriek,
Unable to think of anything now,
Every hour he’d drift back to sleep.
