In the still, cool silence
Of a summer’s evening
I lift my eyes to the skies
And see the moon reflecting
All my thoughts and cares
As the stars twinkle, laughing
Like a caress to my soul
In the gentle kindness
Of a summer’s softly lit night
There is a echo of hope
Drifting on the edge of my
Thoughts, creating tones
Of crimson whispers
At the heart of my poem
In the quiet joys of a moment
That radiates with breaths
Of light and inspiration, tender
As the pale rays that drift
Calming the nocturnal blows
Of wind, so feathery agile
Like a sigh against naked tear
In the hues of ebony darkness
Waves of compassion, bright
Sympathetic to the blackness
That murmurs like a brook
Calming, resting in a faith
More honest and true
Than any dream could trace
In the night’s contemplations
Peaceful caresses touch
Upon blessings so warm and rich
They flame like the passion
That rises on the inside of a heart
Who knows what it is to love
With all the feeling alive, assured
In the mystery of a vision
Rising high, like a bird on wing
Wishing and flowing and dreaming
Of all the colors and creations
God has blessed all our emotions
With… here in the moment
We can appreciate the brilliance
Radiating across the soul – His muse
