His Love Gale

Do you know what brought the wind into the world my Love...
the wind is the speeding breath of God's heart
the very air of his soul that carries the desire of creation
through the universe to your lips
seeking expression in the fire of your freedom,
he wants to find his Goddess
the part of himself that he lost to the sea of chaos
when life insisted that independence would lead to grace,
God has been looking for his Queen
for longer than the stars have cried behind the blue of day,
he knows that she is alive somewhere
preparing her body for his solar entry
and providing asylum for the passion of their poetry
believing that he can reach her through the distance and sadness -

What an unusual (and captivating) take on God ... the wind ... and love in general. "The part of himself that he lost to the sea of chaos when life insisted that independence would lead to grace" ... a loaded passage. Freedom lends itself to grace and forgiveness ... but with slavery there can be neither, for we had no choice. Your paradox is really intriguing at the end. Is love more precious when unattainable? Or is God transmitting his love through time and space, against all odds?

The desire of love is pure in God...slavery is the breath of freedom, and in love, liberty never cuts loose the heart anchor. I admire your intelligence my friend, I am very fortunate to know people with minds such as your Timothy...J.A.B.

The line you quote is very sensitive, in that it acknowledges her innate, and conscious knowledge of his love, also a beautiful anticipation that she feels on the very body of her soul, consequently validating the love that lifts the breath of his heart Eileen...J.A.B.

What a mesmerizing beauty this one is, Justin. I feel the warm, long loving gust of the wind, God's sweet breath. The concept of God searching for his Goddess is beautiful, unique-- and the lines, "he knows that she is alive somewhere, preparing her body for his solar entry"..stick out to me, and strike a chord in me personally...his faith is strong, as well as his love, so the reader knows he will reach his Goddess in time with those truthful winds, no matter the distance, and no matter the chaotic state of mind...

I love the spiritual and emotional vastness that this poem covers, with soulful desires being carried "through the universe to your lips" and the very human quality of longing and love becoming so big, so real and intense, that it is this godly and universal being. ."providing asylum for the passion of their poetry"...how immensely gratifying! Such a great, brilliant poet you are, Justin. Love always, Laura
