Hide and Peek
Let’s play hide and go peek said the horse.
It was a great suggestion I agreed of course.
Because I did not know that he had said peek.
In my mind I had heard hide and go seek.
He threw himself down into the crook of an oak.
I thought it was funny. He looked like a joke.
Go and hide he said raising his head to peek.
Breaking all the rules of hide and go seek.
I ran to the shed, got into the barn.
I waited for the horse, I knitted some yarn.
The horse never came. But along came the pup.
Come help she barked. The horse can’t get up!
