Congratulations Jan with your sad but beautifully written haiku, I’m sure he will keep you informed of his adventures, the good side of technology, phones, emails and thoughts of his return. :))

I am excited for him! He should do it now before he is strapped to a house, a wife, and seven darling children. Now is the time, Jan! He could wait until he is 67 or so, but by then, he'll be too busy having grandchildren to play with to want to do it. He might be out of the energy too. Lovely poem. Some of the best come straight out of our heart.

I know is not easy, but if he is doing this I think is great, when he comes home he will have stories to tell and you will have poems to write!!!

I think its wonderful he is traveling and seeing the world whilst he is young and has no commitments - he is far braver than me at that age, then again he is far far brighter than I ever was!:-) hugs Jan xx

A sad time for you indeed Jan, but the world is smaller now with whatsapp, facetime etc so he'll never be far away. But a wonderful experience he will have I'm sure. Wishing him a safe and pleasant journey. Tom
