David, this is a beautiful poem, and it reflects a realistic and open-minded perception of reality. For whatever reason, we are here. I do find that life is pleasant for me right now...I wish that were the case for everyone, but as you say, chaos makes that difficult to imagine. There's a lot going on in this tiny speck that's in one typical spiral galaxy among millions. Perfection is a very odd concept in a universe like ours. Smiles!!

My best guess is we’re here because we have to be here Duke, I mean where else can we be, cosmologists reckon the universe should have destroyed itself the moment the Big Bang happened if mater/antimatter was equal, which it should have been, but for every billion antimatter particles, there were a billion and one matter particles, and everything is made up from those surplus matter particles! an innate flaw? I don’t know it’s mind boggling? Hell I’m flawed for sure! Cheers again David

Everything God created was perfect till the misuse of free will (not free will itself as some claim) produced imperfection and the resultant chaos and mess we have. Eden must have been every bit a paradise. Most humans don't value what they have, always wanting more. However, Jesus paid the price 1992 years ago and the cosmos will be set straight up on his return. It's something to look forward to David. Nice etheree

And that’s Fair enough, our timelines probably differ, I’m certainly not here to argue the case for or against Jesus, or free will, nor any God for that matter, this one is all about my own perfectly flawed journey, that possibility began 13.8 billion years ago, as for the immediate future it appears an AI god is in the making! Cheers David

Plenty to think about in your double E David , I don't think we'll ever truly know for sure if there were flaws in our creation and our earthly existence. I'm with Lin though, hardly a flaw you're here. Hope you're getting the same weather we are. Tom

I agree Tom, but they do give us something different to ponder, I don’t believe any two of us see the world exactly the same, I wrote this piece as me in the first person as it reflects my raison d'être, (to steal Dilly’s line) Weather was great all week, but broke today so rain gear is at the ready, hope you enjoy the sun while it lasts, cheers David

I'm rushing about, so was going to comment later but the captcha is DAV so I thought I'd best spontaneously trip into your comments despite being muddled :) I love how you've condensed such a raison d'être into this form so skillfully. Perfect innate flaws pretty much sums up all my artistic pursuits, to do it wrong for it to turn out the very best 'right'. It's where authenticity, advancement of science etc. all change the world. (At that point, less about me making unicorns!l) excellent :)

Hey Dilly, glad you feel just as much at home in this piece, as I do :) yes it is a raison d'être of how I perceive existence, perfect innate flaws do indeed sum up your artistic pursuits, the end result of your unique poetry is proof of this, and the Captcha DAV is giving off strange vibes, maybe I’m getting close :) thanks so much for taking time out of a busy day to comment, cheers DAVid

David, this is the tightest Etheree form I've ever seen. I know how difficult it is to write them and still have them make sense. Yours definitely does except for the last part where you write it's a flaw in the world that you're here. The cosmos is a quasi-ness of imperfections, a chaotic mess, but I'm glad you're here.

A perfect flaw in your perception Lin which makes you unique, and without such perfect flaws we would all be clones, so I’m glad you made it too :)

It's a flaw in my perception that I don't always grasp the author's intent. The soup is always simmering, so take your time catching up.

Heya Lin, thanks for the vote of confidence in my being here, I think what I’m saying in the second part, is a perfect cosmic flaw was inherent in bringing me here, and also reflecting something flawed in the concept of Eden, I was disappointed to miss Inks Etheree contest, couldn’t be helped my mind was elsewhere, thank you so much for stopping by to comment, I’ve a bit of catching up to do on the soup, cheers David
