Her Existence

Numb, dumb and dazed, alone in her head, Unable to do anything, Unable to move, unable to feel, She’s even unable to think, And still, the day goes on all around, Passing like a slow marching band, Parading right before her, in full stereo, And all she can do is just stand, Watching folks work, watching them talk, Watching folks rest, run and play, Watching folks live every bit of their life, In every small bit of the day, You see, her mind has embraced this spiralling slump, Her life, from now on, is so bleak, The thoughts in her head have laid down in bed, And they’ve quietly drifted to sleep.
