Helplessly - Hopelessy
We have our trials, but there are
some souls who never get too far.
They barely even learned to crawl.
Helplessly - hopelessly - they fall.
The homeless and the addict who
inhabit streets; what can they do?
Some live a storm that has no lull.
Helplessly - hopelessly - they fall.
The wife abused, the poor child born
to messed up folks, and the forlorn -
They’re pressed against a stone cold wall.
Helplessly - hopelessly - they fall.
How difficult for those who thrive
to comprehend such tragic lives.
Before they’re shrouded by their pall,
helplessly - hopelessly - they fall.
