I won't deceive you with a lie,
sometimes life can be filled with pain.
You may wish to curl up and die,
but you'll get up to fight again.
When your boyfriend forced you to go,
you felt you were being exiled.
And it won't be easy, you know,
a single mom raising a child.
You feel alone, and yet, your friends
are willing to help raise those odds.
And stand by you; that's how this ends,
supporting you like iron rods.
It'll take time for you to smile
or believe that all will be fine.
But, you are a woman of guile,
not the kind to complain and whine.
Though fate's spun your life in a whirl,
your morals have remained steadfast.
For you're made of strong stuff, my girl,
and this misery will not last.
Hold on to hope, and you'll survive,
with a bit of help from above.
Given some time, dreams will revive,
to guide you on your path to love.
